Milk Bath

Cleopatra, the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt, was renowned throughout history for her radiant skin and her amazing beauty. She was said to bathe in milk to keep her skin soft and beautiful.

You can buy pre-mixed milk bath powders or create your own from ingredients in your cupboard. Many pre-mixed milk baths can cost you about $20 to $30, but this should get you about four to eight baths. Some milk bath powders you can buy have additives such as extra vitamins or moisturizing elements, which may appeal to people with dry or sensitive skin. Many powders are scented, though, so if you don’t want to fragrance like fruits or flowers, or if you have easily irritated skin, you could consider going the homemade route.

ingredients:

1/4 cup baking soda
any essential oil mixture

directions:
1. Combine materials in a dark bowl (it says to do a dark jar but since I doubled it, it wouldn’t fit, a dark bowl worked fine) and whisk elements together until there are no bumps. (if you used a jar it says to put cap on and shake until bumps are gone)
2. Add necessary  oils. Use about 15 drops total (also use 10 drops lavender 5 drops lemon) you can do more or less.
3. Put in a cool dark place for roughly 24 hours.
4. Fill up bath about 3/4 of the way you usually do and add mixture!
Seriously, this was amazing. Usually when you get out of the bath your skin feels really tight and dry, but it feels silky and smooth after this.
